Meet Jill
I’m an interdisciplinary researcher and educator. My research interests emphasize leisure and well-being, as I believe these particular experiences encourage people to be inspired and live more thoughtful and intentional lives.
I have explored sustainability and learning from both a leisure and geographic perspective for the past several years, as I am focused on improving the quality of all life and the environment, especially as the effects of climate change become exacerbated.
Growing up on a small family farm in southern Manitoba, I’ve always seen people as being a part of, rather than apart from nature and this central concept underscores most of my work.
